P.S. The whole exchange about the speedo and thong was hilarious, but let's face it, we are in Texas not France or Italy. HA!

Many thanks to whomever the organizers were for this reunion.  It was great fun.  Special thanks to Randy Key for putting together this bulletin board. (thanks for including spell check)  Hopefully it can stay up and be a private REL facebook.

Great to see all that attended, those that did not should have been there.  Additionally, if anyone had their foot stomped on while dancing...it was Joy.

Joy Valentine (Haynes)

Here is the story.  Jim was teaching me to jitterbug and he thought it was really funny to "accidently" miss grabbing my hand as I came out of a twirl.  That would send me flying across the entire dance floor!!  Please accept my heartfelt apology for stepping on toes and to anyone I might have body slammed while flyng across the room!

This really was a fun reunion!  I'm just sorry I missed Friday night.  There were so many people I saw in the pictures that I missed visiting with on Saturday.  (And Jim insisted on giving me those lessons!)  Cyndy and I had said we were leaving early and I'm happy and proud to say that I'm pretty sure we were dead last!!

Thanks to all the committee for your effort and time to make this great for all of us!  I couldn't make it to the 35th, but if there is a 45th, I'm there!

A Big Thank You to all who attended and especially those who put together the REL '71 reunion! This was my first time to attend one and truly a night to remember.  My only regret is that there were too many people and too little time to personally reconnect and visit with everyone I remember from school.  Looking forward to next time and send my heartfelt thanks, prayers and blessings to all.

I want to add my thanks to the organizing committee.  Those of us who have not lived in Tyler for years really appreciate those of you who live in Tyler and organize these reunions every few years. It was great seeing everyone especially the old Rebel Guard....I doubt we could still fit into those uniforms.

Looking forward to seeing all of you again.

So sorry we won't be able to come to the renunion this year.  We are opening a new store in Rockwall, Texas called Smallcakes.  We are days away from opening and can't make it this time.  Hope to see you guys at the next one.  Come see us in Rockwall,  Rockwall Crossing shopping center on Interstate 30. Right behind Chipotle, by Buffalo Wild Wings.

I am so sorry to miss this reunion.. Would be fun since we have reconnected on FB. My oldest grandson is a senior this year and we have an senior day with him on Saturday and our youngest turns three on Friday. So as you all  know grandkids trump reunions. Post lots of pictures. You mean a lot to me.

I look forward to anyone to visit some with during the week-end. I will be attending by myself on Friday , but my husband will join me on Saturday. I have to say I will be a bit nervous , but I want to connect up with any friends that I went to school with. So if anyone sees a nervous person standing alone..... Come by and say hello . I think we are so blessed to still be around at this point in our lives. Too many friends have passed on and it is sad for me to think of them not being there ( except in our hearts). Well again , don't be surprised if an old woman comes up and introduced herself. Thanks ! Look forward to the visit .

I hate to miss this one as I will be in Hawaii on business (could be worse!) but remember the 40th and having so much fun. I will definitely make the 50th, Lord willing and I'm still around. If anyone has any updates on either Bobby Day or Jim Blackmon, I sure would appreciate it if you'd pass it along. Have a great time.

So grateful that the date was changed to a cooler month!  Thank you, thank you -- hope this will be a new tradition.

Won't make this reunion due to work schedule and saving for imminent retirement.  Planning on making the 50th, Lord permitting.  We expect to be in Texas in November and December 2016 and it would be great to see some old friends on an individual basis or in small groups.

Kathleen

I won't be in the states until summer.  From the pictures I saw of the last reunion, I am sure that you will enjoy your time together!  Have fun!

Jeanetta Snider (Brown)

I am sorry that we will have to miss the reunion this weekend.  We were looking forward to coming but I have had a severe case of Laryngitis for 3 weeks.  After trip to the doctor again today I am on 2 more weeks of total voice rest and meds.  Alan is really having a good time with me not talking.   I know it will be a great weekend!  Will miss seeing so many people and catching up on life with friends.  Life is good and so blessed.  Hope to be at the 50th!!
