Terry Nelson

Steven Little, aged 52, of Dallas, died on October 19, 2005 of complications of leukemia.  A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 3204 Fairmount Street with Rev. Craig Little, brother of the deceased, officiating.

Steve was born February 24, 1953, in Tyler, Texas, the son of Kenneth and Ruby Little, and was raised in Tyler.  Steve received a BA degree with a major in history from The University of Texas at Austin in May 1975.  He received a Juris Doctor (law) degree from SMU School of Law in May 1978.

Since 1994, Steve had been employed by Verizon Communications (formerly GTE) in Irving in the Strategic Sourcing department.  From 1987-1994, he was employed by Lockheed-Martin (formerly General Dynamics) in Ft. Worth.

Steve wished to express his appreciation for the medical care and support from Baylor Hospital Blood and Marrow Transportation Services, especially Dr. Edward Agura, and from all of the dedicated staff in the bone marrow transplant clinic, including Jennifer, Jerri, Laura, and Lowell.  Steve also wished to express special thanks to Raymond La Pierre, who was the donor of bone marrow for Steve in September 2003 and July 2005.

Steve is survived by the following: parents, Kenneth and Ruby Little, of Tyler; daughter, Alison Little and her partner Heidi Vance; son, Scott Little, of Dallas; brother, Craig Little, sister-in-law, Marsha Little; nephews, Billy Little and Ben Little, all of Tyler; niece, Beth Little, of Tyler; aunt, Betty Pierce, of Tampa; aunt, Jane Bohanon, of Tyler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Together, 3311 Elm Street, Suite 205, Dallas, TX 75226
